Indonesian Diaspora in Middle East Optimistic about Prabowo

President Prabowo Subianto’s recent visit to Middle Eastern countries such as Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt in early April 2025 has garnered optimism and high hopes from members of the Indonesian diaspora, particularly students. The Indonesian community in Turkey, represented by Maulidya Nur Islami, expressed pride and happiness at the President’s visit, viewing it as a positive step forward for both nations. Similarly, Muhammad Munirudin and Muhammad Syarif appreciated Prabowo’s personal attention and direct engagement with them during the visit, anticipating enhanced cooperation between Indonesia and Turkey in the future. In Qatar, Rifki Nur Muzaki conveyed the enthusiasm of the Indonesian community, believing that Prabowo’s visit would serve as inspiration to continuously bring pride to Indonesia. Moreover, the Indonesian diaspora in Egypt welcomed Prabowo’s visit, foreseeing a positive impact on educational development for Indonesian students in the country. Overall, members of the diaspora in these nations extended prayers and well wishes for Prabowo at the onset of his leadership. Following his visit to the Middle East, President Prabowo proceeded on official visits to other countries in the region, including the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Qatar, and Egypt.
