President Joko Widodo inaugurated several new officials within the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet on Monday, August 19, 2024. Among them are Rosan Perkasa Roeslani as the Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) and Hasan Nasbi as the Head of the Presidential Communication Office. The ceremony took place at the State Palace in Jakarta, marking an important part of the cabinet refreshment as the 2019-2024 term nears its end.
Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, a prominent businessman and diplomat, now leads investment and capital placement coordination in Indonesia. As the Minister of Investment/Head of BKPM, he is expected to use his experience to enhance domestic investment flows, support economic growth, and create job opportunities. His appointment is based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 92/P of 2024.
Hasan Nasbi was appointed as the Head of the Presidential Communication Office through Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 93/P of 2024. In his role, Hasan will be responsible for conveying government policies to the public and maintaining communication between the government and the community.
President Jokowi’s commitment to strengthening his team with experienced individuals in their fields is evident in the appointment of these two figures. During the ceremony, President Jokowi administered the oath of office to Rosan and Hasan, highlighting the importance of integrity, responsibility, and commitment in their roles.
The inauguration event was attended by Vice President Ma’ruf Amin, coordinating ministers such as Hadi Tjahjanto and Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and other high-ranking officials who congratulated the newly appointed officials.
